Who We Are

Hello, friend!

We are John and Cait Carpenter - Kingdom Concepts. Well over a decade ago we embarked on the adventure of purchasing and living in a fixer upper in our beloved Lancaster City, before it was the thing to do. We may have started the trend. Just saying!

We have definitely developed a love hate relationship with home renovation (as most probably do), but have really grown in our knowledge and expertise to now fully appreciate the gratifying experience of transforming dingy into divine. We also fully appreciate the difference between a quick fix and a quality job. To be completely clear, we ALWAYS choose the latter!

In 2018 we decided to spread our wings a bit further by purchasing and transforming other “fixer uppers” into beautiful new spaces for others to enjoy. And in 2020, by the grace of God, we began taking on design clients to assist in their own home design and renovation projects as well.

Cait is our designer, but she also has her Real Estate License, which comes in handy! It allows her to service our business real estate endeavors, but also provides a unique set of skills and perspective to offer our clients.

John is a Private Banker with Mid Penn Bank. He provides his clients and the community with the best banking opportunities and solutions to fit their needs.

We are both incredibly passionate and great at what we do, and, at the end of the day, we really thrive off of being directly involved in helping our clients - our community - achieve their goals!

We have two children, Henry (8) and Cecelia (5) along with a pup, Sully, so creating beautiful spaces that are also practical and cost effective is definitely something we appreciate. We certainly gravitate towards the finer things in life & design, but also fully understand that sometimes it just doesn’t make sense! It’s our priority to partner with you on finding that balance while helping you find the right fit & finishes for your family and lifestyle.

Our sweet little birdie logo was inspired by Cait’s dad, who is sadly no longer with us. He would regularly play his guitar and sing to Cait and her siblings as kids. One of their favorite and most memorable songs he would play to them was “Blackbird” by the Beatles.

Cait’s dad has always been an inspiration to her. His character, his reputation for kindness, joy, and sincerity, his love for Jesus and, consequently, his love for those around him. He was beloved by anyone he came into contact with. This is how she wants to be remembered and this is how we want our work at Kingdom Concepts to be described. We definitely love creating a beautiful space for our clients, but what’s even more important to us is cultivating a beautiful experience reminiscent of God’s love.
